Building and Zoning
The City of Wahoo Building Inspection Department enforces the City's building codes, issues the required permits, and performs inspections on building construction and remodeling work, plumbing, and heating/air conditioning within the city limits and the one-mile extraterritorial jurisdiction.
Prior to beginning any work on a building or remodeling project, it is advisable to check if it is permitted under Building Code and Zoning Regulations. Building size and height, lot size, setback, and permitted use regulations vary by zoning district as detailed in the Wahoo Zoning Regulations.
Contractors performing plumbing, electrical, or mechanical (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) work within the City's territorial jurisdiction must be licensed with the City of Wahoo.
The Information Pamphlet for New Residential Construction is a guide of contacts and requirements to consider if you are building a new house.
