PATROL OFFICER
WAHOO POLICE DEPARTMENT is looking for a Patrol Officer to join our team. We are accepting applications for Officers currently holding certification or individuals that can obtain certification.
Patrol officers are responsible for the performance of professional police work on an assigned shift through the enforcement of local, state and federal laws in an effort to protect life and property and to ensure the maintenance of law and order throughout the community. An incumbent will be required to perform duties on an on-call basis, as needed.
Qualified applicants should have successfully Graduated high school or have an equivalent GED, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid Nebraska driver’s license at the time of employment. Must possess and maintain certification by the State of Nebraska as a Law Enforcement Officer as required by law, or must obtain certification by the State of Nebraska as a Law Enforcement Officer within one (1) year of employment. Must maintain all certifications as required by the State of Nebraska or the City of Wahoo.
Pay scale for this position begins at a rate of $28.03 per hour and tops at $36.44 per hour over nine steps. (Please see attached pay scale)
