Power Plant Operator
THE CITY OF WAHOO is accepting applications for full-time Power Plant Operator
Workers in this position are expected to assist with various activities associated with the city’s power plant to ensure the continuation of service for all customers in the power district. Have the ability to perform mechanical and electrical skills. An incumbent will be required to perform duties on an on-call and shift basis, as needed
A qualified applicants will need to have graduated high school or a GED equivalency. Must possess a valid driver's license and may be required to obtain a CDL
Ability to report to work within a 15- minute response time (in normal weather conditions)
Job classification and starting wage is dependent on qualifications and experience.
All offers of employment are conditional upon the successful completion of a physical exam and drug screening.
Pay scale for this position begins at a rate of $23.37 per hour and tops at $30.8 per hour over nine steps.
