The City of Wahoo is seeking a dependable, hands‑on individual to join our Public Works team as a Water/Wastewater Operator.
This role plays a vital part in protecting public health and maintaining essential city infrastructure—all while offering long-term growth and certification opportunities.
🔧 What You’ll Do
As a Water/Wastewater Operator, you’ll assist with:
- Operation and maintenance of the City’s wastewater collection and treatment systems
- Water production and distribution system support
- Routine inspections, maintenance, and operational tasks
- Emergency response and on‑call duties, as needed
- Safe, compliant operation following state and federal regulations
âś… What We’re Looking For
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
Certifications (or Ability to Obtain)
- CDL (may be required upon hire)
- State of Nebraska Water Certification
- State of Nebraska Wastewater Operator Certification
